Professionally trained in Photography over 10 years ago, I have dabbled in photography as a hobby ever since. Over time I have taken first camera, a Pentax K-X which was gifted to me by my dad, on many adventures. To  now, in more recent years where I have further developed my skillset with a Professional Canon DSLR.

 

It took the world to go into lockdown as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic for me to consider taking my hobby further - a narrative I know I share with many others. This period transformed the way I went about my life as I acknowledged the yearn I had to reconnect with the discipline that photography requires and the adventures it opens doors to.

 

"To me, photography is a key for exploration and a tool for focus. My style of photography is a positive one, where I must make the most out of a situation to create an impactful image, to find and freeze the connections of a moment in time."

 

By character I am a country bumpkin, hailing from Somerset where I grew up in a rural hamlet and I had the pleasure of living with all sorts of animal friends. Despite this, photography was a key to exploring beyond the local area, with added purpose. Spending more time in nature, especially chasing sunsets, sunrises and cloud inversions helped me to discover the healing benefits of just observing and being in nature. This journey of discovery formed a part of the rekindling of y love for photography and gave me the confidence and motivation to explore further.

 

It was at this time that I started "Hayleys_Nature_Photography" on Instagram and Facebook. The premise of Hayleys_Nature_Photography was to not only showcase my photography but to also educate the audience on the human-nature relationships shown in the image - a subject I am personally fascinated in. So, with this fire in my belly, I spent the next couple of years posting on social media as consistently as possible.

 

However, I am someone who gives it their all in everything I do and I have found this to be my downfall at times. In this case, I had found the social media strangle-hold to become too much which meant producing quality content became tedious.
 

Following the two years of Hayleys_Nature_Photography, I took a year out due to a period of significant life challenges. Time to re-calibrate and refocus was in much need. This new existential state of mind I found myself in eventually kick-started the next steps of my photography journey.

Fast forward to the start of a new year. I scrambled together what I could to purchase a Canon DSLR with a couple of lenses and set out on my professional journey to deliver a quality, transparent and positive service to my clients for brands, self-starts and families who want to leave a positive mark on the world.
 

This brings us to today.
